These are the important things!
Unpack sling/slings and lay out in the sun. The warmer the slings are the easier they will go onto the frames. Usually, a warm sunny window is sufficient. Do NOT put them in a clothes dryer, ....The Slings can melt !!!! Do not put in a Microwave oven! Just lay 'em out in the sun or on the hood of the car in the driveway or on the hot pavement. Hair dryers won't help...you cant heat the sling evenly enough.
Remove the seat frame from the chair support base
Remove the old sling...best way is to cut the sling off...it will take a good long while to try to pull the old sling off because there is no lubrication on the frame.
While slings are "warming",
with a bucket of warm soapy water and a non-abrasive (teflon) scrubbing pad, clean the old frames VERY well.
Dry frames with clean towel and apply a thin layer of KY Jelly (it's water soluable) . Wipe your hands off BEFORE trying to put the slings on.
Take the warm sling and pull it over the frames. You can usually get a better grip on the slings if you are wearing a pair of Playtex rubber gloves.
If you are trying to install the slings in cool or cold weather, good luck! It's almost impossible to install new slings if the slings are not warm and the frames are not clean!
