Chaise Lounge Sling Replacement
These instructions apply to all Samsonite Steel Frame Chaise Lounges
Step One - Taking the Chaise apart

There are eight screws to take out. 4 in the back of the chaise and four in the front (underside) of the chaise. DO NOT take the stainless steel hinge apart.
After you have separated the seat/back frame assembly from the support frame, remove the old cover (usually easiest to use a razor knife to cut it off rather than trying to slide it off.
Clean the old frame (where the sling was) using a good cleaner such as 409 or sof-scrub, and a non abrasive scrub pad such as a "Scottie". Rinse well and dry off the frame with a rag or towel.
Now you are ready to put the new sling on.
Lay the new sling in the sun for 15 minutes or so and let it get warm. The warmer the sling is the easier the sling will go on (because it gets softer and stretchier)
****Lubricate the frame liberally using petroleum jelly. You can use baby oil or liquid soap, however petroleum jelly is less messy and it doesn't get all over your hands when trying to pull on the sling to get it on.
How to position the frame

Stand the seat/back frame assembly up on end resting the frame on the Stainless Steel hinge, on a protective surface such as a piece of carpet or a door mat, or a piece of cardboard.
Hold the sling with the "Pocket openings on the outside. Slide the "long" pocket over the "long" end of the frame and slide it down far enough to get the "short" pocket started on the "short" end of the frame. Now just work it on by alternately pulling to the long side and then the short side.
Reattach the completed sling seat/back assembly to the chaise base support frame
